Module wise Vs Full coaching classroom for pre cum mains.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to take catching for upsc 2018. But I'm confused about to go for full coaching classroom like Vajiram and Ravi or Like Sriram Ias. Or Go for Module wise, like Ramesh Singh for Economics and Neetu singh For Geography and Puri for Polity? I'm really Confused, Please Help me.

  • Go for modules ! But select wisely after thorough amount of research ! since you have much time , you can go separately for one module at a time !

With mrunal and eco survey and ncerts at your dispensation , I dont think eco module is necessary , rest is upto you !
Puri sir for GS 2 should be a must , he is uncomparable in his arena !

  • ^Agree about Puri Sir. And for economy go for Zulfiqar Sir, GS mentors... Both are worth it.

  • Thanka a lot @beast

  • What about Balian's history Module. Baliyan sir is good for optional but i have no idea about his modules. I'm confused that would he be able to complete whole Gs pre cum mains syllabus.

Siddiqui sir is a good bet for paper 1, Puri Sir for Paper 2, Mrunal for Eco.

  • I am not through with basics. I will be joining M puri for gs-2 only. Rest I will do on my own. As people mentioned that coaching gives you a proper structure and motivation(?). But then i'm not sure whether I am taking the right decision or not. In my mind and heart I know its right, but I just want someone else, who has gone through all this to shed some light

Do M.Puri only after being thorough with the basics. At least finish off laxmikanth once before joining his batch.

He never disregarded it ! He termed it sufficient for prelims and that only to an extent of 80 %, he was right infact !

Hi! The course will take a little more than 3 months to complete. Mine started on 03-10-2016 and ended somewhere in the 2nd week of January.

It's worth and please complete NCERTs and Laxmikanth before joining his classes. You will be able to comprehend better and understand between the lines.
