Political science and international relations newspaper reading

Seniors... please guide me.. @neywan @Lokhitwadi and others.. I am preparing and have psir as optional. I don't know how to study newspapers wrt to pol sci and make notes from optional pov.

Please guide what to read how to read and from where to read and what to follow and how to prepare notes

I shall be highly highly highly obliged to you for this...

Also please tell me how to write and practice answers. I appeared for mains 2016 without preparation and my optional was disastrous

    I am enumerating all that I can remember (all that I know). Others can add:

    Authors: Rajamohan, Chellany (baki yaad nahi)
    Sites: The Diplomat, MEA, IPCS, CPRIndia, South Asia Analysis
    Books: Koi Bengali tha (can't recall), Oxford Handbook (Updated hai)
    Magazines: World Focus, CST (IR Portion)

    Also Selectively hi sahi rahega, but not from PSIR so take your own call :)
