Normally 2 editions per year. One on Jan/Feb ending other on May/June ending. It is useful to get hold of Jan/Feb editiion of 2017 as pre is in Jun. If not, at least get hold of Jun 2016 edition. UPSC 2016 has asked Environment questions directly from it like TEEB, GIAHS etc atlest topics were known and we can surf them online. These were only updated only in/after Jun 2015 editions. Same goes with environment funds. All other like species, conventions, protocols, meets etc can be read from wiki, paper and any current affair magazine.
Latest edition of Shankar Environment book will be available shortly in market. It's 5th edition updated with current affairs till Feb 2017 and lots of new topics added, therefore size also has increased by 25%.
