Handwriting issue - how to write in straight line

My handwriting is bad and to make it worse I find it hard to write in straight line. What I was wondering can I use some lined paper underneath the copy. Normal tips given on the internet cant be easily applied in my case, kindly clear regarding can a lined paper underneath be used or has anybody tried it??
