List of NCERT Books to study for Prelims cum Main 2017

I am bit confused.Suggest for strong basic foundation.pls


  • Ncerts
    Geography all new ncerts,
    History of modern india old ncert,
    Ancient and medieval old ncerts,
    Art and culture old ncert 11th std,
    Economy new ncerts both micro and macro 11th and 12th,
    Science 6-10th must read ( no need to read 11th-12th bulky books for 1-2 questions)
    That's all about the ncerts to be read

  • Geography-- 6th to 10th- only once to understand the basics. 11th and 12th geo (new ones) diligently
    Economics-- 11th Indian Eco Development and 12th macro (relevant portions), new ones
    History-- old modern history by bipin chandra, old ancient and medieval only if you have plenty of time
    Science-- Only 12th bio environment part, no need of other science ncerts.
    Polity-- none
    Art and Culture-- New Art and Culture 11th ncert
    Sociology-- 12th ncert (2 books), not much necessary though.
