Has India's economy over-performed as a democracy in the last 70 years

Authoritarianism has helped China stear through problems, and drive marketism down its people's throat. Democracy is considered a bulwark of individual liberty which is a boon for a thriving market economy.

  • obviously sensex in 14 jan 1991 is at 1004,now sensex is at mind boglling 26600.it means ur money wud have been grown 26.5 since last 25 years with CAGR of 14% avg.hence it is average performance of indian economy. returns over 20% CAGR considered over performance while returns below inflation rate of equivalent 8% considered as underperformance.
