  • I think this pattern of Mains is Tougher than the earlier pattern…also the uncertainty has increased in newer pattern..due to which people are taking more attempts…avg age increased.
    ·
  • well, it has become lottery now. many deserving candidates are left behind.

  • For 30 plus, selling your knowledge and experience to aspirants of civil service is not bad. After all MBBS and LLB graduates do this only.

I am hinting at coaching. It is a billion dollar industry now. Even the previous UPSC chairman who was known for his anti-coaching stance chose to guide aspirants for UPSC viva this time through a coaching platform. I am sure he would not hav done it without money.

It seems running for vitamin M is the ultimate reality. I may be wrong.

    counter arguments welcome!

  • very few coachings are successful...moreover parents generally dont support children to go for career in coaching as its considered risky and is not considered a very good profession.i know the perception is wrong, but it exists in many parts of india.

pirablam is that a new coaching evolving as a billion dollar venture is possible in a metro town only.. and to
start up a new coaching in a metro requires at least two to three lakhs....
