Bro, there might be problem during document verification stage. For example, though some suggest validity is for 3 years, you can give even 10 year-old issue date during filling up the form, and still it wont be rejected during the form fillup stage. Problem arises later. Thats what I m worried about. Also, there is ambiguity regarding validity period as morning is clearly mentioned in govt notification regarding obc ncl validity. Kindly, dont take risk with upsc...
  • Validity of certificate is 3 years so don't worry.
If u have doubt apply for one more it will be issued in 3days.

  • Hello friends,
I had applied for tiss net exam and uploaded all the docs as they mentioned along with my ob non creamy. Layer certificate but today i got mail showing your obc certificate is outdated please upload new. But my matter of concern is what is the validity of obc non creamy layer certificate as i had made this in july 2016. Look this is the mail :

    Registration NUmber: C18016373

'This is to inform you that the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate you have uploaded is outdated. Hence, you will be treated as a 'General' category candidate and cannot avail for any reservation. If you mail the valid/correct OBC(NCL) certificate on or before 31/12/2017 to shinde@tiss.edu, will change your category from 'General' to 'OBC' for reservation.'

What reply shall i give . My state psc mains is in February and now this problem... Department wale mujhse chakkar katwayege..pehle bhi ek mahina chakkar katwaye..

    Please reply

Bro as per my knowledge validity of OBC NCL certificate is one year (in some cases it's there years). As you have got this certificate in July 2016, it's already been outdated. You will have to get the latest one. Expiry date of your certificate is mentioned in the certificate check it. As the institution for which you are filling up the form, asking for scanned copy of certificate it's inevitable for you to get the latest one.
  • What you can do is request them to give you some extension for submitting the (latest) certificate or you can tell them that you have submitted the application to get the latest certificate and show them receipt of same one. But in both the cases you have to get the latest certificate.

Thanks buddy will update it so if i renew in this year december will it be valid till next 2018.
