Do revisit the basics and some contemporary concepts of the field as the interview board usually tend to ask such things. Also since you are a post graduate, so you must have had written a thesis on some topic, so be prepared to tackle question related to that as well. These are things that i think can be asked, rest can add to this.

Dear brother , you need to prepare almost everything related to physics. Which means whatever you have studied so far , especially related current affairs .
    Nobel prize in physics
    Lack of research in physics
    India's backwardness in science
    Engg vs core science
Science congress , currently going on
Basic physis principles , their applied use in Daily life and defence (missile tech , space tech , only basics nothing core )
Why didn't you pursue career in higher research?
Utilization of physics in defence , how ??
Black hole theory, nano tube and its only applied part.
Use of physics principles in cleaning envt , again applied only.
Famous physics scientists from india and their contribution , only big fame .
Patents from india , if it had been in news .
    And many more .
But is it possible to know everything under the sky related to physics . Answer is Big No . Then what should be done .

    rules of tackling interview positively ;

Be through with basics ( Hobbies, palace , background etc), so if an interviewer asks you from basics then you will be answering like you , yourself invented the same. Or you are the only one who owes it . It means , there should be adequate representation of firm dedication to same . If you manage answer to 4.5 questions in a row with enthusiasm and smiling face . Naturally you earn 3.4 lifelines to say a firm No on any question.

Keep smiling, whether you answer or not. Don't overuse ummm, hmmm or like , you know , literally etc .These oldies hate such crap a lot . Better take pause (1.2sec), I know such pauses seems longer to speaker , but overall they benefit a lot. But above said Angrezpana , ruins everything .They are perfect sigh of shallowness. Strictly avoid them.
    More are coming :)
correct me ,if i am wrong ! i would be happy to accept my mistakes !

1 . We share same hobby . I am going basics of yoga . Like above mentioned its relevance to health and its types. Pranyam ; its definition , how different from meditation, yoga day , yoga diplomacy, name 5 guru or 1 whom u follow, commercialisation of Yoga , technical details of Pranyam like sitting posture, breathing style , dos and donts etc.
    2. Jogging ; where u do ? How different from running? Its link with obesity, benefits etc
    3. No idea
    4. Whom do you write ? Why do write? Did you get it ever printed ? On what topics do you write? Individual journalism ? Online journalism vs printed , quality of journalism , role of readers to check over them , how can people ensure qualitative journalism etc.
    5. MA pol sc ; a hell lot questions , you know our PM had been firm to change indias image positively. Read over the same from anywhere ; Internet or vision xrox or vaji .but be through over it . Issues , you will be knowing .what matters is that how well do you explain/express and take stand , nd defend it .no matter how much they pressurize us . For ex ; recent terror attack on India , talks with pak instantly abolished cause of back stabbing. We lost our soldiers , what soft diplomacy, pak will be the same ; terrorism, insurgency , militancy etc . Its here , how do you manage and tell them exactly what you want to say .Hence,
It could be leveraged quite positively. Whether you have studied Polsc or not , Upsc panel definitely ask questions over IR .SO make sure buddy, you ripe fruit to your benefit.
    Best of luck

  • Dear Friends, It has come to notice that all CAPF Candidates those who have qualified for its personality test have received a mail from a private coaching institute -Ajab academy,on their respective email id which they have filled in while submitting their daf. The concern with this matter is - How can a private institute get hold of personal email id's of candidates which was meant for mode of communication between UPSC and candidate and UPSC being a government establishment ,how can they share our personal email id with a private institute for commercial purpose. This is a grave issue. This is a violation of privacy. Because today someone has shared our email id from the office of upsc ,tomorrow it could be some sensititve data. No doubt there is some mole in the UPSC but this will only bring disrepute to this prestigious institute. So, we should deliberate on this issue and chalk out some action plan and intimate upsc of this serious issue.
